Cramwinckel Consultancy uses as its tool the commercial patent database\nMinesoft.\n\nThis tool makes it easy to search the extensive patent databases. Sometimes in addition to a study by a commercial patent research firm.\n\nAdvice regarding patentability and freedom to operate is possible. This program's legal status tool makes an IP Due Diligence and a Freedom-to-operate study quickly feasible.\n\nOf particular note is the analysis capability to examine large groups of patents. Novelty survey<\/p>

We investigate if your idea has already been described somewhere in the world. This is essential to determine whether a patent is meaningful and promising. You will receive a report with the most relevant documents and a clear opinion. <\/p>

Freedom-to-Operate (FTO)
Do you want to launch a new product? Then we investigate whether you may be infringing existing patents. This way you avoid legal risks and can launch with greater confidence.<\/p>

Opposition or nullity inquiry<\/p>

Do you doubt the validity of a competitor’s patent? Then we look specifically for evidence that the patent can be nullified – for example, in an objection (opposition) to the European Patent Office.<\/p>

IP Due Diligence<\/p>

Octrooiarts examines for investors the patent position of potential investments (the company). The opinion includes the validity and relevance of the patent claims. Further, it examines whether the company has rights under the patents found and also looks at the geographic coverage of the patent rights. All in relation to the company’s business goals. Sometimes advice is given on how to strengthen the portfolio. The opinion is based on public information about the patents (registers), information shared with me by the investor, and interview(s) with the company.
